Homeopathic Medicine

What is homeopathy

Homeopathy is a more than two-hundred-year-old medicine. Its methodology is based on the “Similitude’s” law, according to which “similar cures similar”, that is to say that it doesn’t supress the symptoms because they are considered a manifestation of internal disequilibrium. In other words, the symptom is a signal to be seen and listened to.
Homeopathy is a medicine which respects and stimulates the self healing mechanisms of the own body.

What does homeopathic treatment consist in?
Homeopathic medicines have a vegetal, mineral, animal or human origin.
The selection of the homeopathic medicine is based on a procedure which goes beyond the concrete diagnosis of the illness. The patient is appreciated as a whole, as a unique and individual being, as an interrelated Whole (mind-body-emotions) and not as isolated organ dysfunctions.

What does homeopathy cure?
There are some illnesses for which homeopathy is especially useful. E.g.: Asthma, Allergies, etc. And there are others in which the conventional treatment is necessary. E.g.: Diabetes, Cancer, etc. Therefore, both kinds of Medicines can and should work together in a fruitful way.

Who visits the homeopathist?
Many people with apparently incurable chronic illnesses resort to Homeopathy as the last alternative, but also every time more, healthy people rely on it, as a means of preserving that condition. These are the two extremes, existing a wide variety of situations and patients in between, all of them susceptible of homeopathic treatment.
It is useful for people of all ages, not only in acute or chronic illnesses but also in psychosomatic ones.
It works especially well in kids, because of their capacity of response and the lack of frustration and stress many adults have.
In adolescents it is good because it helps them complete their growing process and overcome this difficult and full of changes stage.
It contributes to improve the quality of life of adults and the elderly, and in many cases, it solves out long term and deeply rooted problems.
